The SDR Huacaya Alpaca breeding program is built around the
Full Peruvian Alpaca genetics of proven grandsires
and granddams imported into the United States in the 1990's.
The goal is to produce world class fiber on well conformed
and healthy alpacas. Fine fiber and 100% comfort factor is
our first priority (quality before quantity).
We have put together some great
packages with super prices below. Or you can put your
own grouping together.
Maggie
Mae and her Daughter, Indy's Malu
Maggie (born 2004) is a
Full Peruvian, experienced production dam with
bloodlines reaching back to the well known sire
Dracula. Malu was born in August last year, sired
by my Independance, an Augusto grandson.
Billies Holiday,
her daughter Easy to Love, a new female cria Heart
& Soul, and two breedings!
Billies
Holiday (Born 2004) is a Full Peruvian,
experienced production dam with bloodlines
reaching back to the well known Sire Silver
Cesario. She is a color producer, mostly
rose greys and fawns.
Billie's rose-grey
daughter, Easy to Love, was born in June
2009, sired by my Independance, an Augusto
grandson.
Heart & Soul
was just born July 1st, sired by my Snow
Patrol, a Chaparral son.
Price: $6,000.00
Includes: breeding Billie and Easy for
you to my herdsires.
Romance
(born 2007, a Bille's Holiday daughter) is a Full
Peruvian, proven dam with bloodlines reaching
back to the well known Sires Silver Cesario and
Dracula. She is currently open for your breeding
program. Romance did well in the show ring against
stiff competition. Tenaj, her first cria born
last year, was sired by MWF's Pewter and is carrying
his fineness in her fleece.
Female Huacaya, Maiden
Birthdate: 5/13/2007
Heritage: Full Peruvian
Color: Medium Rose Grey
Crias: 1
This little girl is what a quality rose gray is all
about. She is conformationally correct, stretchy and
agile. She is predominantly rose grey through her prime
blanket with a dark brown spot on her right side. The
rest of her is covered in a smattering of light and
dark brown, beige and white. Her fleece has a striking
architecture and is dense, dense, dense. Her lineage
is very interesting in that it goes back to Silver Cesario
and Dracula (I am sure this is where her density comes
from), some well known herdsires.

Easy
to Love
Fancy Full Peruvian Rose Grey Female ~ Maiden!
"Easy" is almost a spitting image of
her half sister, Romance. Easy was sired by my
production herdsire Independance, and her dam
is Bille's Holiday. She will fit right into a
grey/multicolor breeding program. I plan on breeding
her in the spring to Pewter, a silver grey macho
that passes on his fine fleece characteristic
to his off-spring.
Female Huacaya
Birthdate: 6/3/2009
Heritage: Full Peruvian
Color: Medium Rose Grey
Snow Patrol is the first cria out of our foundation
female, Maggie Mae. His background is rich in Accoyo
and Allianza genetics. Accoyo Dracula is on his dam's
side and his sire is Accoyo Chapparal. These Accoyo
icons are known for their density, conformation and
fleece production. Snow Patrol is now proven, settling
one of my production females this year. He is not currently
available for outside breedings; however, full or half
interest can be acquired.
Sire: Chaparral 6011
White,
Peruvian
Chaparral is a full Accoyo that was imported in
1995. He is owned by Maplewood Farm, and has been
since the Vicker's acquired him in 1995. Chaparral
is known for his fine and dense fiber, but even
more so for his superior conformation.
Dam: MPeruvian
Maggie Mae
White,
1060270, Full Peruvian
Maggie was added at the end of 2004 to the SDR
foundation herd. Maggie has a superior white fleece
background (Dracula grand daughter from her Sire's
side). Her Peruvian Sire Beligado (white) is an
All American Futurity Reserve Grand Champion.
Her Dam Malu (white), a 1994 Peruvian Import,
is a proven foundation animal in Maplewood Farm's
high quality breeding program.
Maggie
is a natural mother with lots of milk and tolerates
our presence near her cria.

L Peruvian Royal Dalton Full Peruvian
Male Huacaya, Proven
Birthdate: 5/29/2008
Heritage: Full Peruvian
ARI: 31038607
Color: Pattern (White, Medium Brown)
Full Peruvian,
Conan Grandson!
His sire is Lord Stanley, a 6-time color champion
owned by Autumn Alpacas. "Boots" hit the ground
running, and has been trouble free thanks to his great
mom. Just by looking at him, you know he has "it."
Good bone and a dense, bundling fleece. And since he
is a Conan grandson, I expect him to do very well in
the show ring. Royal Dalton is now proven, settling
two of my production females this year. He is currently
not available for outside breedings; however, half interest
is availble.

Lord
Stanley is a 6X Color Champion and our signature
herdsire. He is off and running in the cria production
department. His first 3 offspring took Get of
Sire at the '08 WOTC and Mirage just came back
from the Indiana Invitational Show (level V) with
a blue and Fawn Color Champion. **Update-Mirage
just did it again, she took first at IAOBA out
of 12 and finished ahead of a Jeremiah offspring.
She then went on to take the Reserve Color Championship.
His first son, Slick has already notched 2 Color
Championships as well.
Stanley capped off his stellar
show career with a First and Color Championship
for fleece at MAPACA. In another notable performance
at OABA, Stanley got the nod over his 1/2 brother
who also has 6 Color Championships. Isn't sibling
rivalry great?
Stanley has inherited brightness,
uniformity and a high frequency crimp from his
sire, Conan, a nationally known herdsire who now
resides at Dos Donas in Missouri.
