UP and COMING SHOWGIRL!
A MULTICOLOR WITH SILVER/GREY GENETICS!!
Thank
you Tom and Sandra Foster of Smokey Valley Alpacas for adding
Mikasa to your new herd!
Mikasa is a stunning girl. She is typey, well boned, and
well covered. Her fleece is fine, soft and bright. She is
multicolored, white with brown points on all her feet, tip
of the tail and a brown patch on each side of her prime blanket!
She is healthy, active, and just a great first cria out of
her Dam, Lenox.
Mikasa's
heritage includes two well known Grand Sires, Silver Cesario
and Matador. Her genetic micron and comfort factors at 3 months
of age are 15.8 and 97.8% respectively! She should be very
capable of throwing color as well.
Mikasa has been weaned and has demonstrated her independence.
If you appreciate the unique characteristics of multicolored
alpacas, especially with her silver/grey genetics, consider
adding Mikasa to your foundation herd.
Mikasa sells with full ranch guarantees as described in the
sales contract and a pre-purchase exam by our veterinarian.

Full Peruvian Bay Black Female
Did you know that there are only 3081 Bay Black Huacayas
registered out of 74,759 registered Huacayas?? (Source: the
new 2006 ARI Statistics)
Tempo is the result of a silver-grey award winning male owned
by Nel Vickers and our beige dam imported from Peru in 1995.
Her Grandsire is CPeruvian Silvino, a well known light rose
grey macho imported in 1998. Her IgG after 24 hours was over
2,000 and our vet determined that heart/lungs and general
health is good. Her genetic micron count at 3 months of age
is 16.3 and Comfort Factor is 100%!!
Beige, 139154, Full Peruvian
Tendu is a 1995 beige import from the Sollocottá
Cooperative in Peru. We have no information on her sire
and dam as is true with most imports. When she arrived
at Maplewood Farm, Dr. Jim Vickers rated her a "#8",
and she became part of MWF's foundation herd. In that
time, she was bred to Augusto, Chaparral, and Bravado,
and produced award winning crias. In July of 2002, Tendu
became the first production female for Snow Dancer Ranch.
She has proven to be a "hands off" delivery
specialist, providing ample colostrum and milk for her
young, and unconditional care in their early months.
